For the past few months we’ve been testing and trailing E-cargo bike deliveries across South London.
We partnered with VOK Bikes, a leading Estonian manufacturer of electric cargo bikes. Their innovative and reliable bikes are perfectly suited for urban deliveries, offering a combination of efficiency, durability, and comfort.
Our brilliant rider Ismayil and lots of help from our regional operations manager Steve has meant we’ve been out delivering to these areas:
- Streatham
- Balham
- Wandsworth
We love these bikes, not only can we reach more customers, delivering weekly, delicious essentials straight to your doorstep, but there’s also a whole host of other reasons why we think their a good thing.
- Environmental Impact: Each e-bike emits up to 95% less CO2 compared to a petrol car, making them a much greener transportation solution.
- Increased Capacity: Each bike can carry up to 100 deliveries, significantly boosting our delivery capacity and reducing the number of vehicles on the road.
- Reduced Noise Pollution: E-bikes are quieter than traditional delivery vehicles, making them more suitable for urban environments and reducing noise pollution for residents.
- Nimble and Efficient: E-bikes can navigate through traffic congestion and narrow streets more easily, ensuring faster and more reliable deliveries.
In the near future, we hope to expand towards Fulham, Hammersmith, Battersea, Clapham, and Putney and potentially even flats too, so watch this space.
