Collections: Soft Plastics

Meet Our Newest Collection Bag: Soft Plastics

Soft plastics are tricky. Bread bags, salad bags, the film off a punnet of strawberries, the wrapper from a magazine. Most local councils don’t take them in the kerbside recycling, and the alternative usually means putting it straight into the bin, where it ends up in landfill.

Meet the newest addition to our collections range, Soft Plastics. We set out to design the collection range to help solve tricky items to recycle and this one fits perfectly. This is also one step closer to us having a produce range where nothing ends up in the bin. Everything recycled from your doorstep

How it works?

It’s £1, and it’s available to everyone.

Simply add them to your usual order, fill it with clean soft plastics whenever you have some, and leave it out with your empties. Your driver takes it from there. These soft plastics are then taken to our local recycling partner.

What goes in?

Yes please: salad bags, frozen food packaging, rice packaging, bread bags, newspaper and magazine wrappers, and pouches (lids off, please).

No thanks: anything contaminated with food, sweet wrappers, crisp packets, and pouch lids.

Why we’ve made it

It joins our Textiles, Toys, and Small Electricals bags on the doorstep. The idea is simple: if we’re already on your street, we may as well take a few things back with us. One less trip, one more bit of packaging that goes somewhere useful.
