Collections: Soft Plastics

Meet Our Newest Collection Bag: Soft Plastics

Soft plastics are tricky. Bread bags, salad bags, the film off a punnet of strawberries, the wrapper from a magazine. Most local councils don’t take them in the kerbside recycling, and the alternative usually means putting it straight into the bin, where it ends up in landfill.

Meet the newest addition to our collections range, Soft Plastics. We set out to design the collection range to help solve tricky items to recycle and this one fits perfectly. This is also one step closer to us having a produce range where nothing ends up in the bin. Everything recycled from your doorstep

How it works?

Introductory offer of £1, and it’s available to everyone.

Simply add them to your usual order, fill it with clean soft plastics whenever you have some, and leave it out with your empties. We’ve been hanging ours up with a bull dog clip or a hook in a cupboard under the sink.

Our drivers will then take it from there. Soft Plastics are bundled up near our central distribution centre and recycled through local authorities.

We’re working on making this can be added to a repeat order

What goes in?

Yes please: salad bags, frozen food packaging, rice packaging, bread bags, fruit & veg packaging, toilet roll packaging, newspaper and magazine wrappers, and pouches (lids off, please).

Keep an eye out for labelling like this, “FILM/WRAP don’t recycle at home.”

No thanks: anything contaminated with food, sweet wrappers, foil crisp packets, and pouch lids.
