Tis the season for jolly treats, so it makes sense that our next supplier spotlight is Maxon’s, a sweets maker with an even sweeter history. They can be traced back to the 1880s, which means they really know their stuff. And they’re all about carrying on the tradition, creating delicious sweets from recipes that date back to the very beginning!
Sugar, spice, and everything nice
Maxon’s is all about creating sweets that take you back. They use the same handcrafted methods and recipes used in the 1880s, which means their sweets are packed full of flavour and nostalgia. They even use the original cutting dies to keep their sweets the same traditional shapes! And their passion for tradition doesn’t stop there. They’ve been family owned and operated since the beginning. The current owners took over in the 1920s and are now into their third generation, continuing the legacy that can be traced back to two other families in its history. How amazing is that?
Why they give us such a sweet tooth
Their legacy is a true testament to the passion and care they put into every one of their sweets. All of their sweets are hand packed into glass jars with a screw-on lid (so everything stays fresh!). Not only is this a great plastic-free packaging option, but the cute retro jars are also perfect for reusing in your own home.
