Stop crying over wasted milk
Looking for the perfect way to make the most of your milk before it goes to waste? WE GOT IT! Get ready to channel Tom Hanks in The Polar Express cause here we only got one rule: never ever let it cool (or needlessly end up in the bin!).
So if you’re loco for cocoa, put the last of your milk to good use and indulge in the velvety flavour of our old-faithful Modern Milkman hot chocolate recipe.
Hot Chocolate Recipe
Ingredients:
- – 1 pint of creamy Modern Milkman milk
- – Check out our bottles of semi-skimmed, skimmed or whole milk. You could even use our tasty Oat Drink.
- – 3-4 tbsps hot chocolate mix
- – (depending on just how much of a chocoholic you really are!)
- – 1 tbsp whipped cream (optional)
- – (but highly recommended)
- – 1 chocolate bar (optional)
- – (also highly recommended)
- – Marshmallows (optional)
- – (the most highly recommended!)
Method:
- 1. Pour your preferred amount of milk into a saucepan and place it over medium heat. Watch as the milk gradually warms up and be sure to keep an eye on it, giving it an occasional stir to prevent scorching.
- 2. Once your milk reaches a gentle simmer, measure 3-4 tablespoons of hot chocolate powder and sprinkle it into your warm milk.
- 3. Grab a whisk or a spoon and mix until they blend seamlessly into one deliciously chocolatey concoction.
- 4. Once your hot chocolate reaches the perfect consistency, it’s time to pour it into your favourite mug and get sipping. We know you’re eager but be careful not to burn your tongue!
Toppings?
